Prostitution simply is not legal in Canada. The recent supreme court ruling, firstly doesn't legalize it, and secondly doesn't take effect until Dec 2014.

Yeah that was a post that I wrote. Basically noone knows what the end result will be, because the supreme court said that the current laws are invalid, but gave parliament 1 year to come up with new laws. Noone yet knows what those laws will be.

They were invalid because they violated the prostitutes rights to life, liberty and security of the person, according to the supreme court, reversing it`s earlier decision in which it upheld the laws back in the 90`s.
